Clean-up Continues In Storm-Ravaged Everly

November 22, 2014

(Everly)– Cleanup operations continue in the storm-ravaged town of Everly.

The town took the brunt of severe thunderstorms that rolled through the region Thursday morning, producing winds gusting to more than 60 miles-per-hour, large hail and torrential rain. Tree damage was widespread in Everly, with some trees completely uprooted. Structural damage was also reported and large hail left dings in siding and even broke some windows. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The school in Everly was locked down for a time to protect students from injury.

Roads going in and out of Everly were also shut down for a time Thursday.
