(Spencer)– It was a great opening weekend for the Clay County Fair, despite high winds and warm temperatures.
Attendance Saturday was a little lower than last year. A total of 46,379 people walked through the gates…compared to over 49-thousand last year on the first Saturday. But the visitors packed the fairgrounds Sunday. A total of 53,446 people came to the fair on Family Day. That number was over last year, by about two thousand people.
The Clay County Fair continues through Sunday in Spencer.
