Smoky Furnace Causes Excitement At Rural Milford Residence

(Milford)– A smoky furnace caused some excitement Wedenesday evening at a rural Milford residence.

Milford Fire Chief Gayle Clark says firighters were called shortly after 8:00 p.m. to the Brian Peck residence at 2479 210th Avenue southwest of Milford. Clark says the furnace had short-circuited, causing a small fire that Peck put out prior to the fire department arriving.

No injuries were reported.

Milford firefighters were on the scene about a half-hour.
