(Milford)– A lakes area fire department is one of 11 in Iowa that has been awarded money through the latest round of grants in the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
The Milford Fire Department will be getting 109,164-dollars. The money can be used for training, wellness and fitness programs, to purchase protective equipment and improve fire stations and facilities.
A total of 941,637-dollars was awarded in the latest round of grants through the U-S Department of Homeland Security.
