(Jackson, Mn.)– Voters in Jackson, Minnesota will head to the polls in a special election to decide whether or not liquor sales should be allowed on Sundays.
The city council voted four-to-one earlier this week in favor of a resolution calling for the special election. The city will pick up the 700-dollar cost.
The request for the referendum came from the owner of a new mexican restaurant in downtown Jackson who wants to be able to serve liquor on Sundays.
A date for the election hasn’t been set.
