(Fulda, Mn.)– A longtime lawmaker from southwest Minnesota is running for a seventh term.
D-F-L State Senator Jim Vickerman of Tracy made the official announcement this week, although he says he decided back in November to run again.
Vickerman turns 75 in May. He was elected to the legislature for the first time in 1986.
Currently, Vickerman serves on seven committees, chairing the Agriculture, Veterans and Gaming Committees.
Republican and former Luverne Mayor Bill Weber is reportedly looking into running against Vickerman for the District 22 seat.
