Man Wanted For Violating No-Contact Order Found Hiding In Attic Of Vacant House

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A man wanted for allegedly violating a no-contact order was taken into custody this (Wed.) morning after authorities found him hiding in the attic of a vacant house in Spencer.

Spencer police say it all started around 7:00 this (Wed.) morning when they were called to 815 East Milwaukee Street on a report of a violation of a no-contact order.

Upon arriving a female told authorities her ex-boyfriend, identified as 34-year-old Bradley Alan Wallace, had come into her residence without permission.

Police discovered a no-contact order was in place forbidding Wallace from the residence and from making contact with the female. Authorities searched the residence but couldn’t find Wallace.

Officers then discovered footprints leading from the home to a vacant house at 716 Eighth Avenue East. Police and sheriff’s deputies established a perimeter around the residence.

Based on information they had, officers had reason to believe Wallace was possibly armed and under the influence of drugs.

After numerous attempts to make contact with Wallace failed, authorities, with the assistance of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 Unit, searched the residence and found Wallace hiding in the attic.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Wallace was charged with violation of a no-contact order and interference with official acts.
