(Ashton)– The Iowa State Patrol has released details into an incident this past Saturday in Ashton in which a woman was injured when she fell off the back of a motorcycle.
Troopers say the motorcycle was being driven by 23-year-old Matthew Molitor of Sibley.
Authorities say Molitor was pulling out from the American Legion and was headed westbound on Third Street when a passenger, 19-year-old Kelsey Ackerman, fell off the back of the bike.
Ackerman, who’s hometown wasn’t immediately available, was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital with what was described as non-incapacitating injuries.
No injuries were reported to Molitor, who was cited for operating while intoxicated, first offense.
No damage was reported to the motorcycle.
The incident took place around 6:18 p.m.
