(Mallard)– The discovery of some pot in a parking lot at a Mallard bar has resulted in a drug charge against a Havelock man.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says it’s the result of a call they received from Sparky’s in Mallard regarding an item that was found in their parking lot. Upon investigating, authorities determined the green, leafy substance was marijuana.
Upon further investigation, authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Edward Kitto of Havelock. He was later arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor.
Kitto was booked into the Palo Alto county jail pending an initial appearance before a magistrate.
Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
