(Spirit Lake)– What started as an investigation into a complaint at a Spirit Lake residence has ended in drug charges being filed against three people.
Spirit Lake police say officers were called to a residence at 2204 Gary Avenue around 11:30 p.m. last (Wed.) night. While there, they observed several items of what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia in plain view.
Two subjects at the residence, 22-year-old Steven Husaboe and 20-year-old Hayley Tuinstra, were arrested.
Husaboe was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a no contact order and keeping a disorderly house.
Tuinstra was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, aiding and abetting and keeping a disorderly house.
Upon further investigation, a third suspect, identified as 22-year-old Chad Janzen of Spirit Lake, was arrested at the Discovery House, where he was living. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana…first offense.
All three were booked into the Dickinson county jail pending an appearance before a judge.
