(Sibley)– Three people were injured Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in Osceola county.
The Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Javich Ramos of Dennison was driving a 2000 Ford Windstar northbound on Highway 59 north of 220th Street when he fell asleep. The vehicle left the road to the right. Authorities say Ramos Soto then over-corrected and ran off the road to the left. He then lost control, causing the vehicle to roll into the west ditch where it came to rest on its side in a field.
Ramos and two passengers, 20-year-old Vanessa Menchaka and 24-year-old Michelle Garcia, both of Worthington, were taken to the Osceola Community Hospital where they were treated for non-incapacitating injuries.
Ramos Soto was cited for failure to have a valid driver’s license.
Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
The crash took place around 8:00 p.m.
