FAA Launches Investigation Into Plane Crash

November 22, 2014

(Sheldon)– Investigators with the National Transportation Board are on the scene of Tuesday’s plane crash in O’Brien county.

The single-engine Piper 28 went down around 11:00 a.m., killing all three people on board.

Names of the victims were being released yet as of early this (Wed.) morning.

Authorities say no flight plan was filed, so the plane’s destination wasn’t clear.

FAA spokesman Tony Molinaro says the plane, built in 1968, is owned by Jerome Goodger of Milton, Wisconsin. A person answering the phone at a number listed for Goodger said he was home, but not available.

The crash took place as thunderstorms producing high wind were moving through the region. But authorities aren’t saying if weather was a factor.
