(Estherville)– The board of trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College earlier this week approved salary increases for the 2009-2010 college year.
All employees of the college will get a pay increase of slightly more than two percent.
Trustees also approved a three-year food contract for the Spencer campus. Cabernet Catering will offer two meals a day…lunch and dinner…starting this fall. The food service operation will be located in the former “Center Cafe” location and will be known as “The Dock”. Meals will be served Monday through Friday. College officials say a food service program is needed at the Spencer campus because of anticipated higher enrollment accompanied, in part, by a new soccer program which will start this fall.
Trustees also approved a new beverage contract with Pepsi for the next three years; they approved a changeorder for construction of the third phase of the Wind Energy Building at the Sustainable Energy Education Center; and they approved specifications for the construction of a Technology Building on the Emmetsburg campus. July 20th was set as the date for a bidletting on the project.
Trustees also approved a four dollar per credit hour increase in tuition for the Online Consortium.
