(Sanborn)– Nine employees at the Associated Milk Producers, Incorporated plant in Sanborn were taken to the hospital Friday evening after they were exposed to airborne vapors.
Company spokesperson Sheryl Meshke says an outside vendor was delivering some cleaning chemicals to the plant when the vapor release occurred. Just how it happened though is still being investigated.
Nine workers were taken to a Sheldon hospital. They were treated for the exposure and held overnight as a precaution. They were released Saturday.
Meshke says there was no damage to the facility and there was no harm to the public.
She says the incident was contained to only a small area of the plant.
