(Sibley)– Alleged assaults of two men at an Osceola county gravel pit has resulted in charges against a Sioux Falls man.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from a 911 call they received last Thursday about two men who had been allegedly assaulted and pushed into the water while they were fishing off a dock at the Ocheyedan Pit.
Upon investigating, deputies arrested 27-year-old Thomas VanKley of Sioux Falls. VanKley was charged with public intoxication and two counts of assault…all simple misdemeanors. He was booked into the Dickinson county jail and was released after posting a 1,500-dollar cash bond.
