(Spirit Lake)– Meeting in a special Thursday session, the Dickinson county board of supervisors took no action on a proposal to fund completion of interior work of the Dickinson County Nature Center.
However, an informal poll indicated most of the supervisors DO agree to a proposal to obtain a line of credit, or loan, from a local bank that would be paid back through REAP funds and a couple of possible grants.
One supervisor, Wayne Northey, was unable to attend the joint meeting with members of the Dickinson County Conservation Board and the Conservation Foundation in attendanace.
The matter will be brought back to the supervisors for possible action at their next regular meeting this coming Tuesday.
Additional funding is needed to cover a shortfall exceeding 200-thousand dollars.
