(Milford)– Motorists traveling on Highway 71 through Milford need to allow some extra time to reach their destination.
That word from officials with the Iowa Department of Transportation.
They say the outside lanes of the highway have been closed to accomodate the constrution of sidewalks and the installation of new street lights.
Weater-permitting, officials say the lanes should be re-opened within two months.
Motorists traveling through the construction zone should drive with extra caution, obey the posted speed limits and other signs. Traffic fines for moving violations can more than double in work zones.
