Milford Council Approves Outdoor Service Request On 4-1 Vote

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– The Milford city council Monday approved an outdoor service area for the Outback Lounge on a four-to-one vote.

While there are currently no fencing requirements on the books for such operations in the city, it was pointed out one other establishment that was granted an outdoor service area was required by the city to put up a six foot fence around it.

Craig Poss, owner of the Outback Lounge, requested his fence be limited to 47 inches tall, saying he’s never had problems with underage people being served.

However one councilman, Mike Anderson, feels the six-foot requirement should pertain to this establishment as well. He cast the lone no vote in allowing Poss to proceed with a fence 47 inches tall.
