(Spencer)– The Iowa Workforce Development Office in Spencer is accepting applications from those interested in working at this year’s Clay County Fair.
Those interested in applying may do so at the office, located at 217 West Fifth Street in Spencer, either in person or by calling (712) 262-1971 extension 123 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A temporary workforce center will open at the fairgrounds Wednesday, September 9th. The office will be located at the north end of the information booth just south of the grandstand.
Openings exist for a variety of jobs, including food service, concessions, booth sales, restroom cleaning, display set up and tear down, and so on.
Officials say salaries may not be covered under minimum wage lows and will vary with different vendors.
Full-time and part-time work is available on day or evening shifts.
Exhibitors and vendors at the Clay County Fair needing workers should contact the local Iowa Workforce Development Office.
The Clay County Fair will be held September 12th through the 20th.
