Everly Searches Result In Arrests Of Several Teens On Drug Charges

(Everly)– Searches of a coule of residences in Everly have resulted in drug charges against several teens.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the search was conducted around 8:20 p.m. August 12th at 109 East Second Street. It resulted in the arrests of two male juveniles after what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found.

The boys, ages 15 and 16, were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were taken to the Clay county jail where they were processed and released on citation to a parent.

Another search was conducted around 11:00 that same evening at 206 South Main Street as part of an investigation of alleged illegal activity at that residence.

Authorities say a 17-year-old male at that residence was found to be in possession of what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with released to the custody of a parent.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
