(Spencer)– Minor injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash shortly after 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of Clay County Road M-54.
The Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Jared Nissen of Ruthven was driving a 1997 Camaro at a high rate of speed when he got distracted and went into the ditch. The vehicle rolled, coming to rest on its top.
Nissen and a passenger, Alex Arndt…address unknown…sustained small lacerations but refused transport to a hospital.
Severe damage was reported to the vehicle.
Nissen was cited for failure to maintain control and speeding.
