(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday were updated on plans to put informational displays inside the tower on the Veteran’s Memorial Plaza on the northeast side of the courthouse.
Plans calls for informational displays on tourism and veteran’s information to be on display along with literature racks and possibly a computer kiosk. Total estimated cost of the project, not including the computer kiosk, is 4,600-dollars.
The supervisors gave their go-ahead to proceed with plans for the project.
The tower is a replica of the tower of the old courthouse. It’s located in the exact same footprint of the old courthouse tower.
Supervisors say they hope to have the tower open to the public by the end of September. They say it likely will be open the same hours as the courthouse.
