(Sibley)– A Sioux Falls man who pleaded guilty in Osceola County District Court to two counts of simple assault was sentenced Monday.
27-year-old Thomas Van Kley was charged in connection with an incident on July 2nd of this year. He was accused of sneaking up behind two males and pushing them off a dock and into the water while they were fishing at the Ocheyedan pits.
Van Kley was ordered to pay a fine of 519-dollars and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended. He was also placed on informal probation with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office for two years.
