(Spirit Lake)– A new Supervisor has been named to serve the Spirit Lake campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.
Kendra Horkey began her duties August 10th.
As Supervisor/Advisor of the Spirit Lake campus, Horkey will be responsible to supervise, coordinate and direct personnel and general operations of the campus. She will also recruit, advise and register students.
Other duties include developing services to meet community needs, market and promote services on the campus and to assist the Executive Dean in scheduling courses for the Spirit Lake campus.
Horkey will also handle budgets, community events, assist with the Dickinson County Fair and work on fundraising activities with the Institutional Advancement Office.
Horkey received her Associate in Arts Degree from Iowa Central and graduated from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in psychology. She has three years of experience working in college admissions and recruitment.
