(Spencer)– An investigation has resulted in a Sioux Rapids man being charged with child endangerment.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation stems from a report received back on August 10th of this year.
34-year-old Marco Maldonado of Sioux Rapids is accused of striking a one-year-old child with an object and using unreasonable force that resulted in bodily injury.
Maldonado was charged with child endangerment…a class “C” felony.
He was arrested around 7:00 p.m. Thursday and was booked into the Clay county jail pending an appearance before a magistrate.
