Teens Accused Of Causing Thousands Of Dollars In Damage At Everly Farm Implement Business

November 22, 2014

(Everly)– Several teens stand accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage to farm machinery and a straight truck at an Everly farm implement business.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a 13-year-old girl from Everly, a 14-year-old boy from Everly and a 13-year-old girl from Greenville were charged with criminal mischief in the first degree…a class “C” felony.

The three were transported to the Clay county jail where they were processed and turned over to their parents. Their names weren’t released.

Deputies say it stems from a complaint they received on July 18th of this year from Corn Belt Equipment in Everly which reported the windows and mirrors had been broken out of four combines and one straight truck.

Damage was estimated at more than 10-thousand dollars.
