(Estherville)– A head-on crash this past weekend involving a car and a semi on Highway Four just south of Estherville sent two people to the hospital.
Authorities say 20-year-old Stephanie Colwell of Wallingford was southbound on Highway Four when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a northbound semi driven by 45-year-old Robert Harding of Graettinger.
Colwell and Harding were taken by ambulance to Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. There was no word on their conditions or extent of injuries.
30-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1997 Freightliner semi driven by Harding; two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1999 Buick Century Colwell was driving.
The crash took place shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
