(Spencer)– A man who was operating a ride on the midway last week at the Clay County Fair is accused of inappropriately touching a nine-year-old girl.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies received a report around 9:15 p.m. Thursday about the possibility of inappropriate conduct by a worker who was operating the merry-go-round.
After interviewing the parties involved, 22-year-old David Boyer of Council Bluffs was arrested and charged with indecent contact with a child…an aggravated misdemeanor.
Boyer is accused of touching the breast area of the girl on three occasions–twice while the girl was attempting to enter the ride and again as she attempted to exit.
Boyer remains in the Clay County jail on two-thousand dollars bond.
Boyer was not employed by the Clay County Fair but worked for the company that was operating the midway.
