(Spencer)– The Spencer Bomgaars store will be operating out of a new location this coming spring.
Officials with the Sioux City-based retail chain announced Wednesday the Spencer Bomgaars store will be moving from its present location in north Spencer to the former K-Mart building in South Spencer in the spring of 2010.
Officials say the new location will give the store increased footage on the sales floor, allowing them to expand the workwear, footwear, tool, and pet and animal departments.
Officials say the new store will also feature indoor displays of cattle gates, corral panels, fencing, stock tanks and so on.
Even though they’ll be in a larger building, the Spencer Bomgaars store does not plan to get back into the lumber business. Company officials say delivery of those items will remain from their Spirit Lake store.
The former K-Mart building has had several uses since the retail store pulled out of Spencer back in 2002.
