November 22, 2014

(Royal)– An alleged domestic incident with his wife and an argument with a neighbor has landed a Royal man in jail on several charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says authorities were called to 105 Church Street in Royal around 11:00 p.m. Monday after getting a report of a domestic disturbance.

Upon investigating, deputies say they found the suspect, 26-year-old Josh Loughart, was felon. Loughart was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm as a felon…a class “D” felony.

Upon further investigation, Loughart was also charged with domestic abuse assault as the result of an alleged argument with his wife that authorities say could have resulted in physical contact.

Loughart was also charged with disorderly conduct after authorities say he allegedly started screaming at a neighbor after going into the neighbor’s yard.

Loughart was booked into the Clay county jail.
