(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision Saturday near the intersection of West Seventh Street and Fourth Avenue West in Spencer injured a Spirit Lake man.
Spencer police say 32-year-old Jane Bosma of Spencer was eastbound in the 400 block of West Seventh Street when she collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Kim Tjebgen of Spirit Lake who was also eastbound.
Tjebgen was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries; no injuries were reported to Bosma who was cited for operating while intoxicated…second offense; and failure to maintain control.
Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1990 Nissan pickup driven by Tjebgen; a 2004 Buick Century driven by Bosma sustained an estimated four thousand dollars in damage.
The collision took place shortly after 12:30 p.m.
