(Everly)– An Everly teen accused of stealing items from clothing in a locker room faces a theft charge.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from a report of a theft that took place Wednesday of last week in a locker room at the Clay Central Everly School. An Apple IPOD Touch and some cash was reported missing.
Upon investigating, deputies determined a 14-year-old juvenile male allegedly stole the items after going through some clothing.
The boy was arrested and charged with theft in the fourth degree…a serious misdemeanor. He was transported to the Youth Emergency Services Center in Cherokee.
The items stolen were valued at more than two hundred dollars.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in its investigation by Clay Central Everly school staff.
