(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop Monday on Highways nine and 71 near Peoria Avenue in Spirit Lake resulted in the arrests of two people on drug charges.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana.
Two occupants in the vehicle were then placed under arrest. 27-year-old Drew Mills and 20-year-old Emily Lawler…both of Spirit Lake…were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mills was also cited for expired registration.
The two were booked into the Dickinson county jail.
