(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision Friday at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Eighth Street in downtown Spencer resulted in minor injuries to a Milford woman.
Spencer police say 30-year-old Kelli Lorenzen of Milford was northbound on Grand Avenue and stopped suddenly because of a vehicle making a turn.
Authorities say a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Jose Pena-Garcia of Spencer then collided with the rear of Lorenzen’s vehicle.
Lorenzen complained of pain in her neck and back but indicated she would drive herself to the hospital. No injuries were reported to Pena-Garcia who was cited for failure to have a valid driver’s license.
A thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the rear of a 2005 Honda Accord Lorenzen was driving; a 1992 Chevrolet pickup driven by Pena-Garcia sustained an estimated one thousand dollars in damage to its front-end.
The collision took place around 1:15 p.m.
