E’Ville City Council Member Steps Down

November 22, 2014

(Estherville)– The Estherville city council has a vacant seat.

Lori Donovan submitted her resignation prior to the start of Monday’s meeting citing personal reasons.

Council members took no action on how to fill the vacancy, but indicated a preference to appoint someone to fill the vacancy until the next city election in 2011.

Donovan represented the city’s fourth ward.

In other business Monday, the Estherville city council adopted an ordinance making it illegal to store or use household furniture and appliances outside.

They also approved an extension of the lot purchase rebate program and the new home construction grant program in the Carrico Heights area for another year.
