(Spencer)– The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive next week–just in time for the upcoming holiday season.
It’ll be held Monday and Tuesday, November 23rd and 24th at the Hope Reformed Church in Spencer. Hours Monday will be from 1:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Cindy Voss, Health and Safety Services Director of the Iowa Great Lakes American Red Cross chapter, says the holiday season is a very important time of the year for blood donations. She says donations typically drop off due to the busy times during the holidays and the winter weather. At the same time, though, demand typically increases this time of year due to the flu and other factors.
Appointments can be made by calling Dy Ann at 262-5657.
Walk-ins will also be accepted.
