(Spirit Lake)– A problem with some underground cable left some people in Orleans and on the north side of Spirit Lake in the dark for awhile this (Tuesday) morning.
Officials with Alliant Energy say some underground near a substation developed a fault, resulting in the outage.
Power was knocked out to some 238 homes for about two and-a-half hours.
Reports of the outage started coming in around 5:00 a.m.
