(Arnolds Park)– Nomination forms for cheerleaders for the 2010 University of Okoboji Winter Games are now being accepted.
Nominees must be from Dickinson county and meet the following criteria:
A person with a ready smile, a cheerful disposition and a generous heart;
A person with a passionate zeal in promoting the Iowa Great Lakes;
A person who is enthusiastic about what the area has to offer and who has a deep love and concern for its history and future development;
A person who has spirit and devotion and who goes above and beyond the call of duty to encourage creative talents in students;
and a person who is concerned about creating a cheerful and pleasant atmosphere for visitors and guests to the area.
Cheerleader nomination forms are available at the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce office in Arnolds Park.
Forms are due Tuesday, January 5th, 2010, and voting will be held Thursday, January 7th. Eight cheerleaders will be selected. They’ll be honored during the Fireworks Extravaganza and opening ceremony Janury 7th.
