(Greenville)– A Greenville man faces a weapon charge as the result of a domestic disturbance Saturday night.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to 1207 Eagan Street in Greeville after getting a report of a man with a gun.
The complainant told authorities her husband was intoxicated and that he had gotten upset about there not being any towels and had gotten into an argument with her daughter. She stated her husband then took a shotgun to the garage, firing it twice. He then left the residence.
Upon investigating, deputies found two holes in the north wall of the garage. The bullets exited the wall and siding, damaging the hood and windshield of a vehicle parked outside.
The suspect, 45-year-old Danny Knutson, arrived at the residence a short time later and was arrested without incident. He was charged with reckless use of a firearm…an aggravated misdemeanor.
Authorities were called to the scene shortly after 11:00 p.m. Saturday.
