I90 Crash Injures Algona Couple

(Jackson, Mn.)– A single-vehicle crash Sunday on Interstate 90 at Highway 264 in Jackson county sent two people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 73-year-old Paul Johnson of Algona was eastbound when he fell asleep at the wheel and drifted off the road.

Johnson and a passenger, 72-year-old Reva Johnson also of Algona, were both taken to Sanford Hospital in Worthington where they were treated for minor injuries and released.

Moderate damage was reported to a 2005 Buick.

The crash took place shortly before 2:00 p.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Nobles County Sheriff’s Offices.
