November 22, 2014

(Spencer)—MTV Networks channels on Spencer Municipal Utilities Cable T.V. system won’t going dark after all.

That word Friday from Amanda Paulsen, SMU Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Paulsen says NCTC, a national not-for-profit cable t.v. cooperative that negotiates programming fees on behalf of SMU and other cable companies in the country, has struck an agreement with MTV Networks.
Details of that agreement haven’t been released.

The negotiations affected MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, Spike TV, TV Land, CMT and Comedy Central…all on SMU’s expanded basic package; along with NickToons, TeenNick, MTV2, MTV Hits, VH1 Class, VH1 Soul and CMT Pure Country…all on SMU’s digital basic package; along with MTVTr3s, which is included on the system’s digital package.
