Search Lands Sibley Man In Jail On Drug Charges

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A search of a residence in Sibley Friday resulted in drug charges against one person.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says deputies executed a search warrant at 515 Third Avenue in Sibley that resulted in them finding what’s alleged to be marijuana and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.

28-year-old Anton Alsip of Sibley was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance…third offense…an aggravated misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and prohibited acts…an aggravated misdemeanor.

Deputies say they also found a prescription medication for which Alsip did not have a prescription for. An additional charge of unlawful possession of a prescription drug…a serious misdemeanor…was then filed against Alsip.

Alsip was booked into the Osceola county jail and was released after posting a two-thousand dollar cash bond.
