Emmetsburg Man Faces Variety Of Charges

November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)– An Emmetsburg man faces a variety of charges following an incident this past Saturday.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says deputies made contact with Jayson Wiley and a female in the 900 block of Monroe Street in Emmetsburg. Upon further investigation it was discovered there was a no-contact order in place between the two.

Deputies say upon detaining Wiley, he resisted. During the process of taking him into custody, Wiley allegedly made threats of bodily harm to the deputy, resulting in him being charged with harrassment in the second degree.

Wiley was also charged with violating a no-contact order and interference with official acts.

He was booked into the Palo Alto county jail.
