(Spirit Lake)– Voters in the Spirit Lake school district Tuesday approved a Physical Plant and Equipment Levy.
816 voted in favor, while 638 were opposed.
The levy will be in effect the next three years at a rate of 65 cents per thousand dollars of valuation.
Revenue generated by the levy will be used to purchase laptop computers for each student in grades 5-12 along with carts with computers on them for grades K-4, and to upgrade to a wireless network for the district’s buildings, along with other technological improvements.
