Hwy 9 Collision Results In Minor Injuries To Sibley Woman

(Little Rock)– A two-vehicle collision Wednesday at the intersection of Highway nine and Lyon County Road L-26 near Little Rock sent one person to the hospital.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Sarah Maker of Sibley was driving a 2000 Pontiac when she failed to stop for a stop sign and traveled into the path of a 1996 Ford driven by Stephen Ahnberg of Brandon, South Dakota.

Maker was taken by ambulance to Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. There was no immediate word on the nature of her injuries. No injuries were reported to Ahnberg.

Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the Pontiac driven by Maker; damage to the Ford driven by Ahnberg was estimated at four thousand dollars.

The collision took place around 11:00 a.m.
