Osceola County Crash Injures Sanborn Woman

(Sibley)– A single-vehicle crash Thursday in Osceola county sent a Sanborn woman to the hospital.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Marique Andringa of Sanborn was driving a 2001 Ford pickup northbound on Pierce Avenue at the intersection with 210th Street when she lost control on the icy road. The vehicle went into the east ditch and rolled, colliding with a stop sign and a telephone utility box.

Andringa was taken by ambulance to Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley with unknown injuries.

About six thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle; damage to the utility box owned by Hickory Tech was estimated at three hundred dollars; about two hundred dollars in damage was estimated to the stop sign owned by Osceola county.

The crash took place around 8:45 a.m.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Sibley Fire and Rescue and the Sibley ambulance and paramedics.
