(Jackson, Mn.)– An Estherville man was injured Sunday when he fell off a snowmobile while trying to climb a hill near a creek near Petersburg, southeast of Jackson.
Jackson county authorities say 37-year-old Jesse Jones of Estherville was transported from the scene via snowmobile and rescue sled to the Jackson Medical Center. He was then life-flighted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
No information was available regarding the nature of his injuries.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Jackson Ambulance Service, Jackson Fire Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities were called to the scene shortly after 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
