(Spirit Lake)– A two-vehicle collision this (Monday) morning at the intersection of 21st Street and Hill Avenue in Spirit Lake sent one person to the hospital.
Spirit Lake police say 33-year-old Keith Lewis of Spirit Lake was turning left from 21st Street onto Hill Avenue when he collided with a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Kay Lundt of Spirit Lake who was northbound on Hill Avenue.
Lundt was taken by private vehicle to Lakes Regional Healthcare to be checked over for possible injuries.
No injuries were reported to Lewis who was cited for failure to yield upon making a left-turn.
Five hundred dollars in damage was estimated to a 1999 Chevrolet driven by Lewis; a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix Lundt was driving sustained an estimated three thousand dollars in damage.
The collision took place around 7:30 a.m.
