(Emmetsburg)– Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday on Highway 18 in Palo Alto county.
The Sheriff’s Office says Maria Fuller of Ruthven was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker eastbound when she lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle slid into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a 2007 Silverado driven by Robert Imhoff of Ashton.
Fuller was taken to the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg; Imhoff declined medical treatment.
Damage to the Silverado driven by Imhoff was estimated at six thousand dollars; the Chevrolet Tracker Fuller was driving was totaled.
Fuller was cited for failure to maintain control.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Emmetsburg Police Department, Department of Criminal Investigation, Emmetsburg Fire Department and the Palo Alto County Ambulance Service.
The crash took place around 3:00 p.m.
