Area School District To Tack Onto School Day To Make Up Snow Days

November 22, 2014

(Armstrong)– One area school district says it will tack onto the school day as a way to help make up days missed due to snow.

Effective March 1st, students in the Armstrong/Ringsted school district will begin classes at 8:00 a.m…five minutes earlier than usual. Officials say bus routes won’t change, with shuttles leaving at 7:50 a.m. Students will be served breakfast.

School for the day will end at 3:35 p.m…a half hour later than usual. Bus routes will run a half-hour later than they do currently.

In addition, school in the Armstrong/Ringsted district WILL be in session April 2nd with a 1:30 p.m. dismissal.

School officials say if no more days are missed, the last day for students in the Armstrong/Ringsted district will be June 2nd.
